Victimología del Siglo XXI: Transformaciones, Desafíos y Nuevas Formas de Victimización en Sociedades Digitales

La transformación digital ha modificado profundamente las dinámicas sociales, económicas y culturales de las sociedades contemporáneas, generando nuevos escenarios de interacción que, además de múltiples beneficios, han propiciado la aparición de formas emergentes de victimización. La victimología, como disciplina científica dedicada al estudio de las víctimas, enfrenta actualmente el desafío de comprender fenómenos como la ciberdelincuencia, la violencia digital, el acoso en línea, la sextorsión, la difusión no consentida de contenido íntimo, la suplantación de identidad y los riesgos asociados al uso de sistemas basados en inteligencia artificial. El presente artículo analiza la evolución de la victimología en el contexto de las sociedades digitales, identificando las principales transformaciones en los procesos de victimización, los factores de vulnerabilidad y los retos para la protección de los derechos humanos. Asimismo, se examina la necesidad de fortalecer mecanismos de prevención, atención integral y reparación del daño mediante enfoques interdisciplinarios que incorporen la perspectiva tecnológica, psicológica, criminológica y jurídica. Se concluye que la victimología del siglo XXI debe adaptarse a las nuevas realidades digitales para garantizar una protección efectiva de las víctimas y promover entornos virtuales más seguros.
